Use System File Checker (SFC.EXE) to extract a new copy of the Marlett.ttf
font file from your Windows 98 CD, or the Setup (CAB) files on the hard drive, whichever you have. Reboot after restoring the file. -- Richard G. Richard,
The user has Win Me and therefore no sfc.exe and marlett.ttf is protected by Win Me's System File Protection. Instead they need to replace marlett.ttf using the procedure set out in MS KB 265371 - "How to Extract and Replace a Protected File in Windows Me" (http://support.microsoft.com?kbid=265371) for details of how to extract files from the cab set. -- Mike Maltby MS-MVP [2001-2005] Richard G. OOPS. Thanks for the correction. Since I post in both Win98 and WinMe
groups, and since this is the first WinMe group, I didn't notice the change. -- Richard G. Harper [MVP Win9x] * PLEASE post all messages and replies in the newsgroups * for the benefit of all. I'm waiting for the first time I post a WindowsMe answer in a Windows XP
newsgroup. Then I'll know that it's time to start wearing the bib 24/7. :-) -- Richard G. Harper [MVP Win9x] * PLEASE post all messages and replies in the newsgroups * for the benefit of all.
