Default Remove/Replace WinMe .wav

Have been trying to remove the splash screen just to load quicker.

There is an audio file also when windows starts. How can I change or replace
this file?

Thanks for your help.

Removing the splash screen will make no difference whatsoever to the speed
at which Win Me loads.

Control Panel | Sounds and Multimedia | Sounds is what you are looking
for. You can associate whatever sound you want with the various events
listed or have no sound associated if that is your preference such as for
Start Windows where all you need do is select None (I've also found
the delete key to be useful in removing unwanted files.)
