Add/Remove Utility not functioning (can't uninstall)

Did I delete a file I shouldn't have, and where do I go to
get it back? I can no longer 'uninstall' anything. When
trying to remove a program, i get a dialog box titled "SMS
Installer Uninstall" with the message 'Couldn't Open
INSTALL.LOG File.' Where do I go to get one, or how do I
create one? thanks, mike

Are you saying that you cannot uninstall anything in the list, or is it just one
item in the uninstall list that gives the error? If so, what item?

GLEN: I'm saying I can't uninstall ANYTHING --either with
the Add/Remove Utility, or programs which have their own
uninstall function as well -- . . . .

Do you have Systems Management Server (SMS) installed?
Is the computer your home machine, or a computer at work?
When you try to uninstall something, does the dialog ask if you want to roll back
the installation, and do you say yes? if so, it will look for the install.log for
that application, and will give the error you see if it is not found. The
install.log is made during installation, and should be in the same folder as the
uninstall file for the app in question.
