Follow-up:

The OP has since e-mailed me for a G-mail "invite" and has now set up an
gmail account which hopefully in due course (it takes a few days) will be
able to be added to OE.

Hi Mike.....I have two Gmail accounts and I am using one of them to
forward email to my OE. It works beautifully, except for one Genealogy
List which for some reason is sending me duplicates. Can't find out why
no matter where I look.

But under Settings (top right), click on *Forwarding and Pop* and you
will be able to forward the Gmail emails to any email account by
clicking on *Configuration* at the bottom and follow the Yellow Brick
Road....lol. I set up the account for Gmail in OE using the automatic
configuration thingie.

Cheers....Heather

Yes Mike and I refuse to use anything in combination with OE.
Why would I? It is no problem at all to log into each address seperately,
i.e. Gmail, Yahoo and hotmail for that matter.
I see it as a personal preference because those accounts remain, in case of
a crash, OE doesn't, unless precautions were taken.

Harry.

I am trying to set my hotmail account in outlook express. When it

tries to
download folders this message appears:

"Payment Required

Configuration:
Account: Hotmail
Server: http://services.msn.com/svcs/hotmail/httpmail.asp
User name:
Protocol: HTTPMail
Port: 0
Secure(SSL): 0
Code: 80004005"

It was working fine some eight months back .
And also account can be reached via hotmail site. Then

"Payment Required"? To whom? if its Microsoft, how much Bill Gates

need
more to make him richest # 2 also.

That change was announced months ago.
You can still use the web server for Hotmail free.
That's why I refuse to use Hotmail.
Regards Mike.
