Default Screen saver activating while using PC

I have a Win 98 PC with no screen saver setup/enabled. But
when the User is using her PC, no matter what application
she is using a screen saver displays. I never heard of
this happening before. Any suggestions. Thank You.

Better begin with a clean up of the Startup Group...

First pick one of these to identify what loads at boot. Next, see
whether there is an option in it's menus to disable it from starting up.
If you really want to rid yourself of it on a more permanent basis, then
look for it in "Control Panel, Add/Remove Programs". However, it isn't
often easy to know what is what in there. One of these URL's may say.
Only last, go to StartUpCop.

The long list of weblinks continues. Why not help us by choosing a maximum
of ten links for people to use, PCR? :? :

I assign to YOU the task of clicking all those links & producing a
credible, detailed report, ArtWilder! They were all gathered here. I did
click them once/twice. One asked for money, & I may have deleted it. Two
were going to the same place, & I may have left them both in.
