Default Reinstall Windows ME

I purchased a computer from Dell, a few years ago, came in with windowsME,
for my son use in college. It is still running fine that i am using it right
now.

He did not like windowsME, upgraded to windowsXP, using a unlicensed CD. My
issue is that i can not do windows updates due to could not be authenticated
by Microsoft updates. Also, he misplaced the CD. I could not even use it to
reinstall it.

I still have windowsME key came with the box. Please advise, is there anyway
i can get a replacement windowsME CD to reinstall it so that i may keep the
window licensed properly so that i may still do the proper windows upgrade?

Thanks million

Win Me has been unsupported by Microsoft since June last year and hasn't
been marketed since sometime in 2002 so I don't think you will be able to
obtain new media from Microsoft. Your best bet is probably to either find
a friend with a Win Me CD, make a copy of it and then use your key or
alternatively to have a look on somewhere like eBay.
