canon a85 camera hardware problems

Default canon a85 camera hardware problems

Can't get a85 to load correctly.
when usb is plugged in to camera it starts the new hardware install and
freezes everytime.
we used another canon camera before with no issues, but can't get hardware
or driver to load properly.

any ideas??

Begin by examining the USB devices in Device Manager to confirm that nothing
is marked.
Confirm that the Canon a85 software is compatible with WinME.

If you appear to be having USB 1.1 problems:

For USBNTMAP.SYS
http://www.usb-drivers.com/drivers/35/35971.htm

and for USBSTOR.SYS
http://www.usb-drivers.com/drivers/28/28628.htm

http://www.usb-drivers.com/drivers/63/63237.htm and download
"usb-WinMe.exe" , which contains WinMe's usb related files
