Monitor permanent sleep
My system was left on for a long time and somehow the monitor was put into
"sleep" , standby or power saving mode by the computer. Monitor is on and LED is yellow. Moving the mouse or pressing a key doesn't bring it back. Even when the monitor is dosconnected and plugged in without the computer it won't recover frrom sleep mode. Hooked up a different monitor and everything works fine |

I have had something similar like that happening and I'm not totally sure how to sort it either. In the end I restarted. But to stop it happening again I altered the power saver settings to ensure the monitor never turns itself off and only goes into standby which I can wake up by moving the mouse. Your power saving settings may be set to 'turn' the monitor off after a certain amount of time? Or is it the standby mode you have trouble with? I'm not expert so that's the only thing I can think of |
