laptop will not boot.
Get an error message..... NTLDR

You are not being charged by the word here--how about some details? Is the
laptop dual booted or does it just have W98? What is the *exact* error
message and when does it appear?

Hi
This laptop just runs W98. I can hear the noise of the
HDD but its as though it cannot be read from.
Full error message reads:
"NTLDR is missing press ctrl-alt-del to restart"

NTLDR is not a W98 file--have you tried to upgrade to XP or W2K? Did you
check for a disk in the floppy drive?

Forgot about those NT formatted diskettes with data.

FWIW, if found this article Ron. After looking at the 'more
information' section of the article more information is will
be needed to pin this one down.
