Missing/Unable To Load vmm32.vxd
I'm trying to install Windows 98SE on a Compaq Presario
4504. During the setup process I get the following message: C:\WINDOWS\system\vmm32.vxd: Missing/Unable To Load and the process halts. Anyone know how to resolve this? I've attempted setup 3 times and get the same result each time. |

Are you attempting to install over the top of an existing system or are you
installing to a blank partition? -- Regards Ron Badour, MS MVP for W98 Tips: http://home.satx.rr.com/badour Knowledge Base Info: http://support.microsoft.com/default.aspx?pr=kbinfo "Lamont" wrote in message ... Try deleting or renaming the "c:\windows\system\vmm32" directory.
Then run setup again. Ben "Lamont" wrote in message = ... I'm trying to install Windows 98SE on a Compaq Presario=20 4504.
