retarted tried restarting back to safe mode f8f8f8f8f8f8f now it only boots
to command prompt only and suggest running scan reg does not work to get to
c:\ command have to type sca fast or I just get fail?abort? retry Ive tried
entering scan reg different ways caps run SCAN REG, RUN SCAN REG,run scan

read there are no back up files no disks no floppies that I know of some one
gave me a bootleg I think I put it in my machine and its all rar.files Im not
sure if you can even use that type of disc if you don't have winrar on the

Welll duhhhh. To quote from ye olde Tips for Mercinaries: "A sucking
chest wound in nature's way of telling you you are going to DIE".

I think I was able to to successfully run through scan disc

It's a dying hard drive.

How "successful" do you expect Scandisk to be?

http://cquirke.mvps.org/pccrisis.htm refers.

Here is clue you need to get: Bad sectors means the hard drive is
physically dying, and will take your data with it. It cannot be
lipsticked back to life by hiding the sectors that are currently
detectable as bad. Replace the hard drive.
