New drive install, messed my installation

Hi everyone.

I appreciate if anyone can tell me what could have=20
happenned to my computer (Athlon clone, 1.2Mhz, 256Mb ram,=20
40Mb boot drive, 2nd 40Mb "D:\" drive (new), cd-rom, dvd-
rom. It all started when I installed the second HD. Drive=20
came unformatted, low-and-high-level. I fdisk'ed 2nd drive=20
not touching boot drive -or at least that's what I think.

Now computer attempts to boot, but first goes to black=20
screen showing on top "general protection error: Windows=20
must be restarted" and freezes. Second try brings safe=20
mode, where I can't see where the problem is since=20
everything looks ok. =BFcan someone helpme see where I=20
messed up?

Does the problem disappear if you remove the second drive?
