Default access sit file or open it

i down loaded a sit file (screen saver) now i cant open it
or view it it comes up in picture it but wont open it sez
its not a picture file

A SIT file is a standard Macintosh compressed archive, comparable to a Windows
standard ZIP file. Use StuffIt Expander to extract the real screensaver from the
SIT archive. Whether the resulting screensaver will work on a Windows system is
another question altogether.
