Default Dial-up Dialog Box appears constantly

Every time that I attempt to take any step, i.e., open a program, save a
file, the dialog box for connecting to the internet via my dial-up ISP
appears. I have checked every setting and this persists.

Any ideas?

Thanks!

Try:
Start|Settings|Control Panel|Internet Options|Connections|
on the display, check 'Never dial a connection'
