Default Windows 98

Hi, everybody. I am not that computer literate so please put your answers in
lame mans terms ,okay. Well, when i turn on my laptop. It shows all of this
stuff and then goes to say that "this file is corrupted or missing:
command.com" What should I do?

Your windows installation is corrupted...
see if you can boot to safe mode...

As your machine is booting...right after the initial bios (text) messages

hit F8

you may need to hit it several times

you should then be presented with a menu...and select safe mode

post back with your results

Also try this: Boot with a Win98 Startup diskette and copy
Command.com from the diskette to C:\ on the HDD. Then remove the
diskette and use CTRL+Alt+Delete to reboot.

From the Dos prompt enter:
Copy A:\Command.com C:\

Command.com in C:\ and in the Windows folder should be the same
version.
