Default write protection error

when i try to transfer files into my removable disk which is my mp3 player a
message comes up saying this disk is write protected, remove the write
protection or use another disk. How do i remove the write protection?

Default write protection error

this is not a windows problem it is specific to the player you are using,
try the manufacturers web site for faq, or at least look on the case for a
disable.enable switch

it is not the mp3 player as this works on my mums computer

then what is different between hers and yours OS version, installed transfer
software perhaps
Is there a software key on hers that enables write, perhaps installed with
some original driver or file transfer manager, and did you try the makers
FAQ, it might be a common occurrence
