HP pavilion

Help got a hp- that will not boot , total blank screen, nokey board or
monitor . any ideas other than a book of matches ??

Begin by confirming that you have power at the wall outlet, remove any surge
suppressors, etc. in-line, and use a known good monitor and keyboard, and
look for the video BIOS post, followed by the mainboard POST.
If no joy, do you hear the PS fan, cpu fan, and case fan/s begin to spin and
the HD spin up when started?
If not, hopefully, the solution is to replace the PS, or, perhaps better,
have a technician inspect the machine.

Of course, if the box is still under warranty, have HP solve the problem.
