On reflection, I think you're probably correct.
Mart "stufis" wrote in message ... A basic USB-supported mouse. I think the MS welcome/register program limits what you can do (like bypassing their license agreement page), which is quite annoying to be confronted with. All I could do was move the darn thing around and left-click. Thanks again, Mart. "Mart" wrote in message ... Glad that Rick & my 'joint venture' succeeded - but am curious as to why the right-click function didn't work. What sort of mouse? PS/2, Serial? USB? etc. Presumably the other mouse functions worked. Curious! Thanks for the assist. Stufis wrote: Re-formatted an HP box tonite, but the default video drivers result in the radio buttons I must click (to agree to the MS licenses) behind a blue rectangle on the left of the screen (in which the Assistant resides). I cannot select the "I accept" buttons to activate the NEXT button. Tried this with two different monitors, neither shows a default resolution that will work. Needles to say, since this is a fresh reinstall and the first boot, the program is not fully functional (can[t right click at all). I can't exit out of the launch program to install my monitors' CDROMs to adjust settings, either. Running in SAFE doesn't help, as I would need a floppy with some of the monitor drivers...which I don't think I am capable of getting off the web. I seem to always discover novel problems with my 'puters! TIA Tab. Rick |
