Default Question

When I turned on my ME machine, the so-called spam message wasn't present at
all in OE 6. It only shows up in my Vista Windows Live Mail.
Why would that be so?

Harry.

No clue......I am using XP with OE6 and if you are referring to the
Afghani/Iranian/whatever spam, I saw it with the above. But not about
to buy Vista to find out.......lol.

Default Question

Looks more like a czech-affair to me, but everything else shows in ME,
except this funny looking thing. I may just have to 'live with it', as they
say.
No need to buy Vista, I was only wondering whether it shows up in other ME
systems, or it just so happened to mine.
Thanks for the reply. H.

It will presumably have been removed, just like my FF post to which only you
responded was. Come to think of it, you responded to the so-called so-called
spam message too. Not the only one, but the first?

Maybe you're the filter, Harry.

On broadband, resetting the group is trivial. And broadband or not,
returning messages to their previously Read state is also trivial.

Default Question

It was removed sometime yesterday together with most if not all of the
replies. It was one of many similar in the MS NGs and was first reported
for removal on the morning of 19 March but not removed until late that the
evening.

What I find particularly annoying is that the Vista registry breaker post
is still present. I wonder how much they bribed MS to allow them to spam
the NGs with impunity? Either that or incompetence on the part of the
contractors concerned since this is a NG supporting those few still
running Win Me.

Why would you think that?
I didn't give it much thought, but surely had no idea of it being spam.
What those signs are representing is which I wanted to know, but no more.
For the future I'll mind my own business.
And just for clarification, my reply did not contain the message!
Glad Mike got it sorted out for us.
Also, the FF thing was nothing personal at all. When I clicked on the given
link my FF browser displayed the message I quoted in my reply and I put it
'up for grabs'.
Can we smoke a 'peace-pipe' together now?
Hail to the King, or better, the Queen, H.

Consideration is 'crucial' and hype is 'trivial', according to Mr. Google.
Are you absolutely sure about your choice of words in this case, Shane?
More less an afterthought... H.

You're not near the coast, are you, Harry? I forget where, but I'm sure its
not, like, California, or Massachussetts, or New York State, or, indeed,
Washington. Its land-locked, isn't it?

Not quite sure where you're going with this, but that depends on how far is
near.
From my standpoint it is near. Hope that doesn't make me 'locked out'.
Looks a lot like Liverpool is going to 'lock out' MU.
