Default address book

I was attempting to update my address book. When I
clicked on the address book icon, the address book came
up, but with my wife's addresses. Since I wanted to
import my addresses from a diskette and update a couple,
but did not want my wife's addresses on "My" book, I
deleted hers. It did not cross my mind that this would be
recorded this way on the harddrive. The address book on
the hardrive, and my wife's only address book, is now
empty of all of her addresses.

Is there any way that this information is still in the
harddrive or in Microsoft Outlook on the web, and it can
still be retrieved and restored.

I appreciate your assistance.

Look in C:\WINDOWS\Application Data\Microsoft\Address Book

There might be a file called UserName.WA~
where UserName will be a UserId.

Hopefully, it is as Candlin said. Also...

(1) START, Settings, Folder Options, View tab.
Bolt "Show all files" & UNcheck "Hide file extensions..."
(2) "START button, Find, F/F, ~*.*"
(Tilde-*-dot-*).

Hold SHIFT & R-Clk it in the Find window. Select "Open with...WAB". The
tilde file was a flaw recently corrected, BUT you may have one lying
around.

Thanks or Good Luck,
There may be humor in this post, and,
Naturally, you will not sue,
should things get worse after this,

I've been doing searches for trashed-files recovery software. I ran across
some that claim to retrieve OE files possibly only messages.

search:
file recovery, unerase, undelete, address book, oe....
