hi, i am running windows ME, and the msi installer refuses to work. i can't
install anything without an error coming up. i found the Microsoft artical
explaining how to do this, but it doesn't work. i am really desperate now to
fix this problem. does anybody know of another way to fix this.

error:
The MSIEXEC.EXE file is linked to a missing export MSI.DLL:222.

artical:
http://support.microsoft.com/default.aspx/kb/324638

When reinstalling the Windows Installer note that it is ESSENTIAL that you
rename or delete _all_ copies of msi.dll before attempting to install the
Windows Installer. KB 324638 - "OFFXP: "The MSIEXEC.EXE File Is Linked
to a Missing Export MSI.DLL:222" Error Message When You Try to Install,
Update, or Remove a Windows Installer-Based Program"
(http://support.microsoft.com?kbid=324638). explains how to do this.
