Default Loading Windows 98

I just got a 5 year old computer from my company that was running NT, but it
was completely wiped out. The IT guy told me that windows 98 would run well
on the system, but I cannot get it installed. The computer tries to start up
using NT, but there are fatal errors(obviously). I can't even get it to
recognize that there is a windows 98 disk in the CD drive. I know the answer
is simple, but I'm not exactly a troubleshooter. Can anyone out there help
me.

Thanks in advance!

Only some W98 CDs are bootable. It's simpler to use a boot floppy - see
www.bootdisk.com
for a utility to create a boot floppy for your version of Windows.

If the machine was previously running NTFS then it may have been partitioned
as NTFS. FDISK can have problems seeing and deleting NTFS partitions. Get
ZAP or WIPE from this site to erase the disk and start over.
