OE6 and ME
I was wondering if this might be the case so I've been watching this thread.
It sounds like someone reinstalled WinME without having first uninstalled IE6, so do NOT attempt to reinstall/overinstall IE6! I'm crossposting this reply to WinME General newsgroup. The experts there will be able to assist you in getting this sorted out. microsoft.public.windowsme.general Via the web-interface: http://www.microsoft.com/communities...dowsme.general Via your newsreader: news://msnews.microsoft.com/microsof...dowsme.general -- ~Robear Dyer (PA Bear) MS MVP-Windows (IE, OE, Security, Shell/User) guymaine wrote: Thank you very much! She'll appreciate the information. Funny thing is, she has IE6, but OE5. Wonder how that happened? So what do she do, install IE6 again? I hesitate to recommend IE7 'cause I'm having some problems with it. OE6 will work fine with ME. It is part of IE6, so that is what you need to download. Make sure OE is backed up first, just in case. Is OE 6 compatible with ME? Have a friend with ME who is very comfortable with it, but I was wondering if she could update her ver. 5 to 6. -- Maine |
