Win98 won't start
Just reinstalled Win98SE on a new harddrive. I get the opening screen and
then a dialog box for Found New Hardware - PCI VGA video - and then the system locks. Old system with a #9 771 pci graphics card. I was going to use the default Microsoft VGA video driver, but somehow it won't load. Any suggestions. Thanks in advance SteveV |

What do you mean by 'won't load'? Exactly what happens if you try?
Boot to safe mode and remove all video adapter card drivers, then reboot and try again to install the generic driver. If that fails, try a different video card. -- Jeff Richards MS MVP (Windows - Shell/User) "stevev" wrote in message ... Just reinstalled Win98SE on a new harddrive.
