Hello,
I have a lan made by a router and a computer connected to it. I also would like to have another old laptop surf the net. I can only connect it to the computer thru serial cable. Is it possible from that to surf the net? Anyone can help me? Thanks a million, Fabio |

What type of "direct cable connection" is it? With an Ethernet connection, you can enable Internet Connection Sharing on the XP computer to give Internet access to the Win98 computer. I don't know if it's possible with a serial or parallel connection. -- Best Wishes, Steve Winograd, MS-MVP (Windows Networking) Please post any reply as a follow-up message in the news group for everyone to see.
