Default Missing Drivers

Hello,

I just recently inherited a PC with Windows 98 and there are no drivers. It
is an Aptiva, 133 Mhz. I am unable to install the proper drivers without the
actual Win 98 CD, which I do not have.

Any way of going about getting the drivers for this old thing?

Thanks.

1. Win98 is not necessarily the best OS
for a 133 MHz machine (i.e. old and slow.)
2. Every Win98 user needs his own Win98
installation CD. Buy one.

Default Missing Drivers

Conduct a search for .cab files by entering *.cab in the
Start = Find box.

If you find a folder containing cab files that total
hundreds of megabytes, then they're probably the Windows
files stored in cab files.

If you find them, try pointing Windows to the folder when
it asks for the drivers. It should recognise the cab files
and find the relevant drivers automatically

The only other way to get the drivers is borrow a Windows
98 CD or buy a Windows 98 SE CD on eBay or from amazon.com
or amazon.co.uk.
