Computer slowed way down

Hi,

Running Windows 98SE
Pentium II
160 MB Ram

I had a 40 GB hard drive go bad a Maxtor (DiamondMax Plus 40 Ultra ATA 66
7200
rotational speed). Went to Staples they installed a Maxtor 120GB
(DiamondMax Plus
Ultra ATA 133 7200 rotational speed) they said it would work fine. I
pointed out that my
other drive said Ultra ATA 66 and the new one said Ultra ATA 133 they told
me not to
worry about it cause the Ultra ATA 133 would only work at the Ultra ATA 66
speed.
My ISP is insigthbb.com before the 40GB went bad my computer would just fly
around
the internet. Now when I get on the internet sometime it takes pages 15 to
30 seconds to
load about the same when I hit the back button. When I tried to load a new
(105 MB)
program it was running about 45 minutes and was about 35% loaded so I
cancelled the
program. Thought I would post this message to see if anyone here can help
me. I
scanned for a virus and spyware I empty my cookies, temporary internet files
after every
session. When I went back to Staples to complain they said the drive was
good my
computer was just to old and worn out. Any help would be appreciated.
