Default Legal but can't reinstall Windows

Had problems reinstalling Windows after virus damage and
uninstall operation. Tried this discussion group but no
help.

Finally successful and here's how.
1. Returned hardware back to original condition,
A:=floppy, C:=hard drive, D:=CD drive. (I should have
followed article #188127 before I had problems.)
2. Made a floppy with the Format command and reformatted
the C: drive.

Your Boot and Startup diskettes may not be useabe after
hardware upgardes. The blank hard drive helps pass the
anti piracy features. Notice that the new Computer ID
after installation is different from the first time, even
though the hardware and CD are the same.

Make preparations now, it took me three days to get it
done.
