Default Can't Change Desktop "Screen Area" in Display Properties from 640 X 480 to higher setting

Hi,
PROBLEM FIXED:

Well I finally found the correct driver, "Trident8400AGP-Win9x-Me.zip"
which I downloaded from http://members.driverguide.com.

Because of a few hundred "hits" when searching for a driver for this
particular display device, not as before, this time I decided to take my
time and read the messages posted by the person(s) that uploaded
the driver(s). I read one from a person who had very nearly the same problem
I was having (stuck in 640 X 480) so I downloaded "his" driver and
by golly, it solved my problem!

Driver Update Method:

I right clicked on "My Computer" icon and selected "Properties". Then
"Device Manager" tab and expanded "Display Adapters". I selected
"Trident Cyber...." and clicked on "Remove". Later a prompt popped up
"...... Do you want to restart......", I clicked on "No". I closed that
window, then I restarted the computer. The device manager detected
new hardware (display) after the reboot and I directed it to the location
of the driver I extracted from "Trident...zip".

I had no trouble adjusting the "Screen Area" to 800 X 600 (or higher).

Again, Thanks to everyone for your responses, John
