name resolution problem,
I have a pc running on Win98 se and NT server.
By the way, when i tried to ping one of servers by using hostname positioned inside, the response of ping test came from outside address, not the internal host. When I tried to do with ip number, it worked very well. i think that the DNS name resolution come first than WINS server. I added a match for ip and hostname in hosts.sam to avoid this happening. But the result was not changed. NBTSAT -c shows that NetbIOS is set correctly.. Please help me from Anybody who knows the soltion!! Thanks in advance. Keicy |
