If you get the following message:
desktop message: windows cannot access the specified device, path, or file. you may not have the apporopriate permissions to access the item. Try this: The run32.dll could be corrupt. Replace the file run32.dll in the folder c:\windows\system32 with a fresh file Downloaded from http://www.dll-files.com/dllindex/dll-files.shtml?run32 or try this: Why not try the System Restore? To do so: 1. From Start, click Programs, click Accessories, and under System Tools open the System Restore. 2. Select Restore my computer to an earlier time and click the Next button. 3. Select a restore point before the problem happened and click the Next button to execute the System Restore. If it still doesn't work, find a startup disk and run scanreg /restore to revert to a previous registry. ----------------------------------------------------------------------------- "k8" wrote in message ... any help? when i try to open or save temporary internet files i get a msg: Windows cannot access the specified device, path or file. Run32.dll is not a standard Windows file.

K8,
You probably simply have a corrupt cache; please create a new one as per the instructions at the URL below: http://inetexplorer.mvps.org/answers_8.htm#deltree -- Hyperlinks are used to ensure advice remains current _______________________________________ Sandi - Microsoft MVP since 1999 (IE/OE) http://inetexplorer.mvps.org/ k8 wrote: any help? when i try to open or save temporary internet files i get a msg: Windows cannot access the specified device, path or file.
