Wont start past Checking memory for viruses OK

Default Wont start past Checking memory for viruses OK

When I switched on I got 2 error messages. 1 was avsynmgr
and the other one was vshwin32. I switched off and on
again and I can't get past Checking memory for viruses OK.
Please can anyone help me. Thank you. Susan

Both are McAfee Anti-Virus files...see he

Boot to Safe Mode, uninstall McAfee using Add\Remove Programs, then =
reinstall it (or find a better anti-virus app).

If virus detection is enabled in the BIOS, disable it and reboot.
