Windows Explorer; explorer hangs up

i am having a real prob with windows explorer when i open
it, it freezes and i have to open task mgr and hit cancel
then it opens, also if i try to run certain apps it will
hangup and have to hit the cancel button.

i have dun all the necessary things for viruses and
adware/spyware using sybot, pestpatrol and adaware but it
still frezes up.

Also when windows finishes loading there is a window
always opening the windows folder havenot ever figured
that one out.
If anyone has any help plz passit on to me

Some programs will cause this. PropelAC is one if you have that....there is
a patch for it. Could be many different problems though.
