Modified startup screen
Hi,
'Something' has added a logo to my startup screen (i.e. the backdrop to the logon prompt). It is of a different resolution to my desktop (so my monitor has to click between startup and desktop). I want to remove it - does anyone know how? |

I have found 2 (quite old) logo*.sys files in c:\windows which I have renamed to logo*.bak (I have all files shown inc. hidden). Unfortunately the problem remains - behind the logon prompt there is a company logo that is not wanted! Any other ideas? The "splash screen" that comes up before the desktop is, as you know, in C:\LOGO.SYS (if no LOGO.SYS, one is used from IO.SYS) When Windows starts, but before you log in, it will use wallpaper settings from the .Default user profile. This is where you should dig Once you log in, your user profile's wallpaper kicks in. You may be able to crush this by setting Control Panel, Passwords so that "all users use the same settings". --------------- ---- --- -- - - - - I'm baaaack! --------------- ---- --- -- - - - - |
