Default white boxes with red "X"

Hi all,

Had a "Computer Nerdz" guy come and remove adware and
spyware from computer.

Since then, reported problem to them too busy to get back
to me though.

On the internet, many of the websites come up with the
pictures as white boxes with a red X in them. My online
banking is kaput as well.

So much for hiring in a "professional".

Go to Start | Run and type this command regsvr32 /i shdoc401.dll and
click OK. After a bit it should come back with a message that the DLL was
registered.

If that doesn't fix it open regedit.exe and navigate to
HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT\.jpg (note the dot before jpg)
For Content Type is, it should say "image/jpeg"

Same for .jpe and .jpeg

HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT\.gif
For Content Type is, it should say "image/gif
