Default AudioHQ related files

I have win98se running in a Celeron 433 pc with 384 MB ram . Whne opening
Ctrl Panel, i get this pop up message: "The required audioHQRes.dll or
AHQcpRes.dll cannot be found. Reinstall AudioHQ related files."

Ignoring the message opens up Ctrl Panel alright, but what causes this
message to appear. What can i do?

Btw is my pc adequate to run windows XP Home? I am thinking switching to win
xp.

TIA

Hi chungacs,

AudioHQ is a Creative Labs product for their SoundBlaster Live series of
sound cards. When installed, it creates an applet in the Control Panel, so
chances are those files mentioned have been corrupted/deleted, and thus you
receive the error message when accessing Control Panel as it attempts to
load the applet for AudioHQ. You could reinstall AudioHQ by d/loading the
Standalone Web Release starting he

As for your question about Windows XP Home, here are the Windows XP Home
Edition System Requirements:

You might also want to d/load and run the Windows XP Upgrade Advisor before
making the decision of whether to purchase XP or not:
