have lost all message says incompatible ms-dos put in
diskette with matching version and restart have tried
all sorts of start up disks and the new se install
diskette still getting same message help will be much
appreciated

Default windows98 se upgrade from 98

Start the computer with the correct boot floppy, type
"sys c:" and press "Enter". Then remove the floppy and
restart.
