Default Blank page after log in on hotmail

I have now 2 systems one with Win 98 and the other XP Pro that were plaged by
popups and viruses. Now that they are clean I can not log onto hotmail or my
bank. I get a blank page and the lower left corner says "done". I have
tried all of the SSL fixes. Any help would be appreciated.

Thanks,

Ah, secure sites are different.

For advice specific to problems with secure sites, have a look at the first
link - for general advice, have a look at the second:

http://inetexplorer.mvps.org/answers2.htm#secure_sites
http://inetexplorer.mvps.org/answers.htm#dns

Also, if Messenger is NOT running at the time you try, log into Messenger
and then try again; there are some current problems where people try to log
into Hotmail without Messenger running.

Well this is where I'm back to ... I started with these two links.

The key is a BLANK page after login, not an error, IE6 does not stop, I can
continue surfing ... just can't get my hotmail. The XP maching was fixed by
creating a new profile. The 98SE machine is where I'm stumped ... I would
appreciate any help.

THANKS!

Exactly what fixes did you try (or more importantly not try)?
