Default Win 98 Standard Problem

I added new software with Netgear Wireless Card and got Blue Screen of Death.
Somehow, I removed BSOD, and had computer working perfectly - including
internet connection via wireless - but then startied receiving message "IE
(6) - This program has performed an illegal operation and will be shut down."
Also, receiver the same message for Msgsvr32, which I can close and ignore.
Cannot use CDRom drive, cannot open programs, cannot open in safe mode.
Previously, attempted to lad and use several anti-virus programs and spware
programs. Could not properly install. I can open DOS commands. Any thoughts?
Thanks.

Behavior has changed slightly - Computer start to boot up, but then sends
error message as follows:

"Explorer This program has performed an illegal operation and will be shut
down. If the problem persists, contact the program vendor."
Under details:
"EXPLORER caused an invalid page fault in module OLE32.DLL at 0177:65f01b42.

Thanks, but error message appears as soon as computer opens windows and I
cannot access anything at all on the computer. The message reappears
instantly when closed, and I cannot use disk drives or access control panel
or any apps. Therefore, I cannot run prompt or any of your malware programs.
Many thanks again.

You should post about this problem to a general discussion group for your
operating system, not an internet specific newsgroup.
