Default dfs.vxd file missing

On opening Windows 98, a message appears indicating that
dfs.vxd file cannot be found in the registry. This
problem started when I was trying to set up file-sharing.

The message states that this file may be required to run a
program. Does anyone know what this file is, and how to
remove the message? All that is required is to "press a
key to continue", but it is annoying and I'd like to get
rid of it!!

Thanks!

Remove and reinstall 'Client for Microsoft Networks', from Control Panel Network.
You will need your Windows CD, unless your setup files are also on your hard drive.
