Default reformat

Whenever I try to reformat there are 2 options both
are 'Recovery Only' and 'Format and Recover'
When I choose either one, the screen freezes.. I don't
know why.. can anyone help me?
there are 2 format discs that I use

i'm not trying to reformat right now I just need help for
the future incase I need to

You know that if you use the FORMAT tool that you will loose all of your
data, programs etc...

Read this page to learn about the various switches.
