Default Problems Aquiring Digital Photos

I am running Win 98 SE and have connected a digital camera through USB. Windows has recognized the camera and I am able to record video through the software which came with the camera, so i know the camera works and the connection to the computer is ok. My problem is when I try to aquire photos from the camera the computer looks to my A: drive for aquiring the pics. How do I fix this problem? The software that came with the camera is Arcsoft Photobase 3.

can anyone help me please?
Thanks
Chay
