How do I reload Windows ME from the CD without losing all my :stuff"?
I have been told it has to be from the DOS prompt, is that correct and =
how is that done?

I don't recommend reinstalling ME from the CD, unless it's a clean install -

Do an over-the-top install from the HD - look here for detailed
instructions.
