Hi,

When I restarted my PC I am getting the following error
message. All I can do is logon to the Safe Mode but can't
take any back up of my data. How can I restore my data
before reformatting the hard disk?

An Exception 06 has occured at 0028:00000017 in VxD---.
This was called from 0028:C1534E63 in VxD---.
It may be possible to continue normally.

Any help will be appreciated.

I would remove your HDD and fit it into another PC, copy the required
data across, replace it into the original PC then fdisk and format it
and reinstall windows.
Alternately, if you can beg steal or borrow an external Zip Drive copy
your data to zip disks , unless you have Gigabytes of data that is .
