You have to reapply your time zone settings after you do changes with
tzedit. Use the Date/Time applet to reapply the settings. If you
reapply the settings then roll back the date and clock to just before
2:00 AM March 11, the time should advance at 2:00 AM.

Thank you for pointing out the shortcoming. I did as you said, and all is
well, now.

You're welcome.

Default YEE HAW.....it worked

I finally got rid of my Win96, Mike.

ROFL!

Yes, I know, pretty feeble!

Doesn't affect us, this time zone thing, does it. I'm beginning to wonder.

Know anyone wants a copy of ME, Mike? What does one do with such an article?
Since I made the RAM in this new box up to a Gig, ME just won't run. It did
when it had just half (and I did do the vcache thing). DOS'll run! In fact,
because this machine doesn't have a floppy I decided to make an iso for
every floppy I thought worth keeping. Just to test it I made one for MS-DOS
6.22 - and that installs and runs fine! I gave up with DR-DOS 7.03 though.
And I'm quitting 9x. It's not worth the trouble.

In fact I'm quitting XP Home too - but I'm putting that on my Dad's ME
machine.

I've made a CD of WIN ME, with key. This is the one-time OEM copy that now
installs as a retail version and is no longer tied to the BIOS. I've done
another CD to go with it that consists of the Security Update CD plus
subsequent updates along with certain useful tools (though not Regclean or
MS Fax - nothing too easy to create problems with!). There are even a couple
of game packs, ie BOWEP and Arcade. This ought to constitute a useful pack,
if only for all the updates! It'ds seem a shame to just bin it after all
these years religeously obtaining the patches and things.

Time Zone change? What stinking time zone change? No way I was
getting up earlier this morning! vbg

I'm pleased to read that the changes you made with TZEdit appear to
have both stuck and worked. I'm just glad I remember about the
existence of that utility from the Win96/98 days and that it was
still available for download.

It being the Time Zone changer of Mike's.

You know you have to get a life when you start at the screen at 2 am
to see if it is going to change to 3 am.......and it did, grin.

But actually I was yakking to Elayne as she is packing stuff
for........well, you know, lol.

Night......Figgs
