Real says I lost my connection, but it doesn't try to reestablish one.
I have win98FE and the highest version of Real Player I can use is
version 8. Are there any advantages to later versions of Real? Right now, Free Version 8 has I think, everything I need for audio**, except that when I listen to webradio, it sometimes stops with a box that says "you have lost your connection with the internet" -- even though my dial-up connection is still connected -- because the interruption in the .ram streaming was too long. This is no problem when I'm at the computer, but it is when I'm in the other room or the basement. I have to click OK in the box, and then click Play again in Real Player. If I had the latest version, could I set it to try to restart the connection without my intervention? I'm going to update to win98SE, but I need to be pushed. Thanks **Don't really need video, and even version 8 has some of that. But my webradio works pretty well even with dial up. At 48000, I went 16 hours with no interruption.
