Default BSOD - Inaccessible_Boot_Device

Win 2K problem - The info I have seen on the stop error message is from
changing motherboards or reinstalls, not from an improper shut down as in my
case. My system password and Setup password say "Disabled by Jumper". I get
the BSOD after all attempts.

Below is the error message.

I have tried the following:

Checking all
connections
rebooting in all modes
recovery console
last known connection
bootdisk.com boot
bootdisk.com Win 2K reinstall

I am unable to type chkdsk /F

How would I know if the disks are being read?

Perhaps it is time to get a new computer!? However, I have only used the
computer for Excel and Word work… AND I need the data!

Thx in advance.

John

JohnJay, you are in a Windows Millennium (WinMe) News Group - you need to
address this question to one of the Win 2K Groups, particularly as your HDD
is most likely to be formatted as NTFS. WinMe, being designed to run in FAT
or FAT32, has no tools to read NTFS so we can't really help in reading or
more particularly, recovering data from your HDD.

Good luck

Mart
