What's the screen? An explorer window? Has this always happened or only
started recently? If the latter what changes did you make to your system
at that time? This roblem can happen for a number of reasons including
having unwanted malware on your system but common causes of this problem
not involving malware include:

Do you have either Norton Internet Security or Norton Personal Firewall
installed? If so then this could be the cause of your problem since there
is a timing problem with IAMAPP.EXE loading as Win Me starts up which
results in Explorer displaying various folders at startup. The solution
being to remove the registry entry that launches IAMAPP.EXE and instead
launch the program using a shortcut in Start | Programs | Startup.

The following link to Symantec's website provides a better description of
the problem and gives a link to a workaround.

http://service1.symantec.com/SUPPORT...2569fc0069e2d0

Finally Windows Explorer can pop up when booting if you have both a
C:\Programs folder as well as a C:\Program Files folder. If this is the
cause you will need to re-think your folder names if you want to prevent
the problem from occurring.
