Default Windows TEMP Folder

Okay what about my windows TEMP Folder?
I've frequently deleted all the contents of my windows
TEMP Folder. IS this a good idea? Someone once told me
that it was just taking up space. But I wonder if that
were the case then why wouldn't windows just delete them
itself? Are there any articles that would teach me about
this Folder?

Thank You

Beau

The above Google result will give you much info about the Temp folder. Yes,
it can be cleaned out without problems. It is a good idea to clean it out
prior to the installation of new software, but, keep in mind.......many
installation programs use the Temp folder for needed files when a reboot is
required.

It is there for a reason - which are many. but to clear it up you should be
using the "Disk Clean Up" tool in Windows ME.
Start Menu, Accessories.....whereever it is on your system.
