Adobe pdf reader that works?
Running Win98, I seem to be able to only run Adobe 5.0 maximum
version. Problem is that the new pdf files provided by our Federal Government at their website are not compatible. Files come up as 'corrupted' Yet, I can read them using Adobe 7, or 8 on the WinXP machine. This lack of backward compatibility is new. Is there a later version of Adobe that works on Win98? Robert |

I think v6 will run on 98. Have you tried Foxit? http://www.foxitsoftware.com/ -- Regards Nigel Stapley www.thejudge.me.uk reply-to will bounce |

Adobe pdf reader that works?
Reader 6 in 98SE, however, a year or so ago we had a discussion or two in
this group concerning newer government and other PDFs {fill in style, like for taxes} which 6 could not open or use. A PAID version of other PDF readers MAY work, it seems though, that the free versions do not. There was a SourceForge project converting Linux readers/libraries to Windows, I'm not sure it still exists or the project still continues. -- ~ -- MEB http://peoplescounsel.org/ref/windows-main.htm Windows Diagnostics, Security, Networking http://peoplescounsel.org The *REAL WORLD* of Law, Justice, and Government _______ "Robert A.
